'The Take' Featured on VinMagazine

Just a quick update/surprise for the page. As the title has spoiled, ‘The Take’/‘Hollywood Moviegoers’ was recently included in the ‘Arts & Culture’ section of VinMagazine’s Special Print Edition for the summer, with the piece “Vietnamese Cinema” (Linked for your convenience).

I am simply very happy to have contributed to the discussion around Vietnamese movies, as well as put the spotlight on certain gems of the industry. I am also deeply flattered and humbled for the opportunity to have this blog/workspace/whatever-name-that-fits featured on such a well-designed and highly-read platform such as VinMagazine (Also linked for your convenience). Although I have expressed this sentiment before, in the near-decade that I have had this rather tiny corner of the Internet, I have never prioritized views or coverage as a point of success. I am happy to just write, talk and discuss films, TV and entertainment with you, the person who is reading this. If I can introduce you to just one film you have never heard before or wasn’t necessarily planning on watching, it is the best feeling in the world. I am not a film critic, not a reviewer, and definitely not a “cinema expert” as so many others have branded themselves; I just want to share the joy I feel when talking about films.
